In 2003, Ｉ began performing Bharatanatyam in Nagoya (lecturer: Akemi SAKURAI) and has performed many stage. In 2009, moved to Fukuoka, studied under Miyuki FUKUNAGA, and completed the Arangetnam (solo performance) in December 2014. currently trained by Yumiko TANAKA. Since 2022, run the Ganga Indian Dance Studio, where he works to promote Bharatanatyam. lives in Sendai and has a studio in Hamamatsu .

Our third consecutive year at the Namaste India Festival is an honor for Nritya Nippon.
Nritya Nippon, the Japan branch of Anushka Kathak Dance Academy (founded in Sri Lanka in 2008), is dedicated to the Lucknow Gharana, Led by ICCR scholar Anushka Ekanayake, who moved to Japan in 2019, it nurtures a new generation of dancers. Based in Kawaguchi and active in Tokyo, Nritya Nippon continues to grow as a vibrant hub for Indian classical dance.

We present a Tarana, a pure dance set to rhythmic syllables and melody, highlighting intricate footwork, swift movements, and graceful expressions. Choreographed by Sanjukta Sinha at the Tokyo Dance Residency 2023, it will be featured on this stage. We conclude with semi-classical pieces that blend tradition and lyrical grace, performed by the Nritya Nippon team: Anushka, Maiko, Haru, Yo, Sarina, Emily, and Seon.
