Kadamb Japan is one of the most popular Kathak Institutes in Tokyo since 2007.
We dance Lucknow Gharana of Kathak with respect to the Graceful choreography of late Padma Vibhushan Guru Kumudini Lakhia ji.
Atsuko Maeda, director of Kadamb Japan, is the most active Kathak dancer in Tokyo, just did a performance front of PM Modi ji and Osaka EXPO too. Looking forward to perform at Namaste India by Kadamb Japan students.

Kadamb Japan and VCC Kathak Dance Classes of the Embassy of India in Japan will perform together with about 30 dancers choreographed by Atsuko Maeda.
Our studio dancers come from all age groups, with women from around the world enjoying and dancing Kathak together. Through Kathak, we have become good friends who respect one another and share wonderful times! We are all looking forward to performing at Namaste India!

Established in 2008, reformed in 2013, we have learnt various styles from Ms Tejaswi Shetty, who is currently active in the Bollywood industry in Mumbai. We also collaborated and have deep friendship with world-renowned Bollywood dancer Mr Karan Pangali, so that we are always achieving authentic styles for performances. Our activities extend both domestically and internationally to connect Indian and Japan for cultual exchange through Bollywood dance.

Tejaswini has been training in North Indian classical dance, Kathak, under the guidance of the esteemed Dr. Madhuri Apte since she was 7. She has over 13 years of teaching experience in Japan and India. This year, she earned the title of “Nritya Visharad (Bachelor of Kathak Dance)” This time along with her students, Tejaswini will present a Ganesh Vandana, followed by a semi-classical tribute to Nataraja, God of Dance and concluding with a rhythmic Tarana.
