In 1984 the Ainu traditional dance was designated as an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property of the country and was also registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in September 2009.In addition to the performances at many domestic places, our group performed in three major cities of India in 2013 with the aid of NPO Society to Promote India-Japan Cultural Relations and The Foundation for Research and Promotion of Ainu Culture The opportunities for exchange with various ethnic groups are increasing, and we are also focusing on making good relationships for mutual development.

We are Koy?, a Japanese taiko drumming group founded in Inagi City, Tokyo, and now in our 27th year.Our activities are centered around an annual charity concert dedicated to supporting recovery from natural disasters , and assisting children with disabilities in becoming self-reliant. In addition to this, we visit various facilities nationwide and participate in festivals, devoting ourselves to the promotion and advancement of traditional Japanese arts.
